New House Update

A few people were asking to see some updated pictures of the house. Here ya go!!

Taken: 8/6/2011

Front of the house

- There are 4 windows on the front plus the front door but they are covered for now -

The front porch and steps

- None of the block will show of course after the dirt is pushed around -

Garage and Side door

That's all the picture I have for now. This coming week (8/8) they will have the house under roof with the shingles on. Then it's windows and exterior doors. Then they will do electric & plumbing, and so on.

We are still looking for it to be done around Halloween.

Loves to ride the mule.

"I've got my glasses on Mommy."
"I'll be safe!"

Summer Evenings

Summer evenings are HOT but boy are they are fun!

Karson loves anything with water so I put him to work.
He LOVED it!

"Let's wash the wagon Mommy." "It's dirty."

Kipton trying out big brothers tricycle. Anything that big brother does
little brother repeats :)

Lots of swimming to stay cool

4-wheeling is always a big hit
(don't worry I was riding behind Karson)

Kevin's favorite thing to do: take the boys fishing.

Even though Kevin is on the Ohio River all day at work he still
loves to take the boys there. They love it just as much!

Both boys...loving life :)

I was not too crazy about this part but Kevin insisted that he would be fine.
He was and he LOVED it!

After coming back from the river....the fishing continues in the back yard!
This boy is ATE UP with fishing.

Maybe Karson will be in the FLW (college fishing)

We had our 1st campfire of the summer
This was Karson's 1st ever campfire and he was so excited.
We put Kipton to bed because he is set on his bedtime but maybe
next summer he can enjoy his 1st campfire.

I don't even know how many marshmallows were consumed.
Here is Karson and his cousin Dane. They are best buds!

What are you doing in the summer evenings?

Embrace the Camera - 8-4-11

Linking up with "Embrace the Camera"

We recently had family pictures made. We took them out by our new house that we are building. I love pictures that are taken outside in the country setting...they are so much better than the ole' studio pictures. Blah!

We have been super busy with the new house.

Haven't had much time to blog or do anything really besides chasing the boys around, and fine tuning all the details that goes along with the house.

Hoping things will slow down a bit.

Kipton Lee - 1 year (12 mo)

Karson Bradley - 2 yrs

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE having boys!
Everything about it.

I wouldn't trade our trains, dirt, and swim trunks for a barbie any day.
I am so used to the all boy house I have.

They are best buds now. I had been waiting for the time
when they would ask for one another and it has come.

They play ALL day together. It is wonderful!! I am so glad Kipton came
even though we weren't expecting him. He is such a great addition to our family.

Our Week

"Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate." (Psalms 127:3-5)

The boys and I are spending our days playing, playing, and some more playing. They are both full of life and so much fun. I am so lucky to have them!

Kipton is now saying "Hello" on the telephone. Too cute!!

The workers have been very busy with the new house.
We have had to be there a lot this week to make changes and see the progress along.
This is a very exciting time for us.

- The garage -

Karson in his bedroom. Very excited!

"This is Karson's room."
"This is where my bed will go."
"Here is my potty."
-Some of the things Karson says as he is touring the house. He is too funny!

The chickens have moved to the new house already. Kevin and my dad built them a new chicken coop and it is much bigger and has a place for them to lay their eggs.

Karson has named them "Jackie" and "Lou Lou". I know the Lou Lou came from a story we read about chickens but not sure where Jackie came from?
Giving them tomatoes

When we move to the house we plan on getting more chickens. But for now it's just the two of them.
Karson really enjoys going to see them. I think we have all found enjoyment from the chickens. They are fun and will let you hold them and are so tame. I am hoping the boys will always love the animals that we have and want to raise many different types of animals.

Nothing like watching a movie on the trampoline

Kipton is Mr. Drools while he works on his 9th tooth

Mommy's helper boy. Loves to sweep

Nothing better than brothers

Hope you had a great week!

We are looking forward to Kevin's long stretch off from work.

At this time Karson is 2 but not 2 1/2 so I guess he's in the  middle of that. (if that even makes sense)

Park Fun

It has been VERY hot here!!
Too hot to play outside unless it's early in the morning or late in the evening.
This is really devastating to Karson.
He is a HUGE outside boy.

After dinner, Erin went with us to a playground that the boys enjoy.
They played for over an hour.

After playing and then some ice cream it was home for baths and bed.

I am really enjoying summer but kinda wish it would cool down a little.
Heres to hoping for some fall weather but still stay summer.

New House Update

Things are coming along on the new house! We were so antsy to see the progress. They will have all of the framing of the walls finished by the end of this coming week. We are super excited!! I could actually get a feel for each room in the house just by the flooring being down and my floor plans in hand.
My wonderful husband who makes this ALL possible :)

Front of the house. The huge dirt pile has to be pushed all around the foundation of the house.
Still have lots of bulldozing to do. My dad has done a great job!

Our football field front yard.

Here is what the boys have been up to...

Swimming/Beating the water with a bat
Nothing like playing outback in your undies :)
(Karson would NEVER wear clothes if I didn't make him)

Lots of swinging

and sand boxing...

and walking...

The boys before church this morning.
Afterwards I realized my camera lens was foggy from coming outside in the 180 degrees.

Church is exhausting!

I should also add how awesome our church is!
We had been looking for a church since we got married (4 years ago) and could never agree on the same one. We came to C3 last October and LOVE IT. It has been amazing for our family.
If you are looking for a church try it out!
