Weekend Whoas

Enjoying time with these boys in my bed watching a movie :)

Enjoying a late Friday night dinner at Jewel City where all of my boys ate lots of fish, shrimp, and frog legs.

Look at that boys face :)

This boy ate 6 huge frog legs!!!!

Saturday Kevin went fishing so the boys and I stayed busy cleaning, doing laundry, putting out our fall decor, and making our favorite stop for mums and pumpkins at our local greenhouse. Which includes feeding farm animals and feeding the fish in their pond.

Sunday, Karsons best "girl" friend in preschool had her birthday party at the jump place. I took the boys by myself because Kevin was working. A mom should get a reward for doing that by herself on a weekend. Those places are so crowded and I'm a nervous week :) we made it through and the boys fell asleep within 5 minutes of getting in the car.

Karsons best "boy" friend from last years preschool class came. He hasn't saw much of him because he has went to a different school this year. They were so happy to see each other. They played so hard together.

Thankful for my boys!!!!

The good & bad of our weekend...

Saturday had been an uneventful day with going to Home Depot,  our local flower shop,  and back home. We took rests, worked outside, and then ate dinner. Around 7 I gave this little guy a bath and got his jommies on. While he was playing Karson was getting his bath. The boys have been banned from taking a bath together for a while because they are just too rowdy together. I was cleaning the kitchen and I heard Ki playing on the scooter in the house. The next thing I know, he is screaming in the bathroom where Karson is. I go in to see that he's wrecked the scooter into the wall and there is a 2 inch knot on his forehead that was instantly black! I thought I may pass out myself, but held it together! Kevin was at work, so I called my parents who live just over the hill and they were soon over to take us to the E.R. Besides the 20
minute wait at the beginning, we were treated great!! They even gave both of my boys these penguins that someone had sewed for the kids at the hospital. They LOVED them! We had x-rays on his head just to be sure there was no swelling or bleeding and everything thankfully checked out ok. Around midnight we were on our way back home with doctors orders to not play rough for about 3 days.

So this mister slept with mommy just to be sure everything was ok.

The next day I thought to get this picture  It looks almost like I'm choking him, but really just trying to keep him still for a decent picture. The swelling is completely gone, but his whole forehead on that side is turning blue.

I am so thankfully GOD was with him. It was one of the scariest moments I've ever been as a mom. The way the knot was so black and so far out, I just knew there was some damage on the inside. Now, every time this little guy is into something bad, I think that "at least he is healthy" and how we take their health for granted. So then, the mission has been to keep him from being rowdy. HA! Yeah that's not happening with a big brother.

This was the next day as I was trimming some bushes in the flower bed.

You just sometimes have to let it go....the clothes WILL wash!

Karson thought this would be a great idea, and little brother just followed along. He is walking back to the house to get hosed off by daddy.

I am so thankful for healthy boys. Even ones that are constantly into something.

Our weekend

Our weekend started Friday with the 2nd day of preschool for Karson.

The boys were heading out with their new shirts for fall football!

Since daddy was working we had a fun Saturday morning with Nana and later that evening we celebrated Kevin's birthday. We were super sad that daddy had to work on his birthday, but such is life I guess!? We had a celebration that the boys LOVED getting ready for, and we even said SURPRISE to him as he walked into his balloon filled home.

We ate yummy pizza and had cake that the boys helped mommy with. It was wonderful :)

This morning we had church where Karson had a rough morning. Feeling a little (ALOT) discouraged as we go through the 3 year old "phase".

Here are a few other pictures from our weekend:

Swing time with daddy!

Cheerin on THE HERD from home since daddy was working.

Rocking babies :)

Getting ready for the big Surprise party for daddy!

Wearing new jommies :)

And, playing lots of dress up these days! Kipton is a hoot and will wear ANYTHING!

Thankful for buying about 10 costumes at a yard sale last year for about $5.00

Hope your having a great weekend!

Our Weekend

We had a great 4th of July weekend! The boys were happy to have daddy home all weekend. Here is about how our day went on Saturday:

We go on our daily bike ride normally after dinner around the neighborhood. The boys love it and it is normally really peaceful and quiet because they are busy looking around.

I wish the stores carried helmets for babies. The smallest they have is for age 3 and Kipton
does have a big head for his age but he really hates his helmet. Poor boy!

Normally while I'm preparing dinner this is what is going on:

IT'S TIME FOR:

WRESTLEMANIA!!

Kipton was finally invited into the "Dick Boys" wrestling match the past few weeks because he can hold is own now. They sure have a blast!

"I really do love it MOM!" -Kip

1st corn on the cob. (just nummed it of course but he still thought he was big stuff)

After dinner we played more outside, took our bike ride, and then we did a big "change in schedule".

I am such a stickler for the exact schedule, every single day for the boys. So, when I mentioned going to see fireworks at 10pm, even Kevin looked at me strange. So I gave the boys a bath and got them in their pj's and we hoped in the car for downtown.

Kevin had the best idea of going on top of the parking garage to watch. Karson LOVED it!

I was a bit worried about the loud noises with Kipton and how he would do coming out past his 8pm bedtime but....

He slept through the entire show.

What a great Saturday
