Spring in the Country

For the past few weeks, the days here in WV have been wonderful. We have turned back to cooler temperatures this week. I won't  complain. It is better than most, and I am grateful we get a little bit of all four seasons.

Kase Garrett loves being worn in the carrier. I know most wear their children facing them. I do sometimes, but I also have him facing out so he can see and learn. He doesn't make a peep! He would stay in it for hours if we were on a long walk. It is a blessing to be able to still enjoy my older boys and the outdoors at the same time.

The baby is much like our oldest son. He grew up loving the outdoors so much that he would cry when we would take him in. He still loves it just as much at the age of 7. On the cold or rainy days, he is lost inside. But we enjoy reading and drawing to pass the time.

Back at his favorite fishing hole. A small creek near his Nana and Papaws house.

Pushing him on the tire swing is fun! He laughs and smiles and that never gets old. I could push all day.

He also loves visiting the waterfall creek near our house. Both of my big boys wade in the water, look for craw dads, tadpoles, and skip rocks. Old fashion boy fun is what they love the most.

The waterfall creek is so peaceful. It could put you to sleep.

I hope you are enjoying the Spring where ever you are.

Happy Easter 2016

Luke 24

1 On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb.

2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb,
3 but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them.
5 In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?

6 He is not here; he has risen!

I hope you had a blessed Easter!

Kase - 4 Months

Kase, you turned 4 months on February 21st. I am a little late updating about your life this month. Here's what you have been up to.

You are eating baby food now.
Your favorite kinds are mixed pears with oatmeal, peas, apples, and prunes. You smile the most with prunes so I would say that is your most favorite!

You are rolling really well from belly to back, and just started this week rolling from back to belly. It won't be long and you'll be rolling all across the room.

We hung up your baby swing on our playground set and you LOVE it! You smile the entire time we push you and have fallen asleep each time. The boys love to push you.

You love to take walks on these beautiful weather days. You fall asleep on almost every walk.

You are enjoying going to the babysitter and do well there.

You are going to sleep at 8:00 pm and sleeping until about 5:30 am. Pretty awesome for a 4 month old.

You have been hit and miss on your nap schedule. Sometimes you take a long 3 hour nap and then some days you nap for 30 minutes.

You got 2 bottom teeth this month!! Those were rough to come in. You had a fever with them around 99.

You also had your 4 month shots. Those were not fun. After doing much research we may have a different plan for them.

You ran a fever for 2 days of 100 after your shots.

You wear a size 3 diaper now and 3-6 month clothes still.

You have found your feet :)

The pediatrician said you are in the 10%for weight and 7% for height. You are small but mighty!! We love you!

All about Us!

Kelly's Korner did a blog link up about introducing your blog. I'm very behind but here goes!

We are a family of 5!

We live in West Virginia. Wild and Wonderful!

I have been married to Kevin for almost 8 years. We have 3 boys.

Karson is 7 years old and in 1st grade.
Kipton is 5 years old and in Kindergarten. Our oldest two boys are only 16 months apart. While it was hard in the beginning, I would never change that age difference for anything. They are the BEST of friends. There is always someone to play with, Each other!

In 2015 we added another precious boy to our family. His name is Kase. He is now 5 months old. He brings so much joy to our home. Joy that we didn't know we were missing.

Our boys love being outdoors. We are all very big into the outdoors.

We fish, hike, farm, and will be getting into camping this coming summer.

We live out in the country with no neighbors and the wild roaming deer. We love it! We have over 30 chickens and enjoy getting fresh eggs and watching them grow.

We are hoping for a few goats to raise to eat our grass, and some cows to raise for beef.

We all really enjoy just being home. We love where we live and enjoy a lot of family time.

We attend an amazing church in Ohio just right across the Ohio River. We love getting our boys involved with church and sports in our free time as well.
