Proud to be an American

Just 1 more day until America's Birthday. I LOVE this holiday. It says so much.

I am so proud to be able to have American flags flying all over our home.

I try to stick them just about anywhere and everywhere I can during the summer. But I should ALWAYS fly them. But something about summertime says America.

Just a few pictures I found of the boys through the last 4 years. My boys are asking more and more about American. "Mommy, why do you put these flags all around?" I love teaching them about our wonderful country.

There is nothing better than hearing your 4 year old say the Pledge of Allegiance. Another reason that I love Karson's little preschool. America, and God are NOT ignored.

So proud to be an American and have soldiers fighting for our country.

(Kevin and I have started the series of Army Wives from the beginning. We are HOOKED! It is one show that we both like. It has brought up many conversations on how much we love America. If you're looking for a whole series to watch, try Army Wives from the beginning.)

Have a wonderful and safe 4th of July!

4th of July Block Party

Our neighborhood had it's annual block party for the 4th of July weekend! We had a GREAT time and the kids had a blast. There was lots of food, great music, and a big water slide for the kids. Overall, a great time! We sure will miss this neighborhood when we move.

There are many girls in our neighborhood. Poor Karson has to be the only younger boy!

The water slide!

We decided that Kipton should stay with Nana & Papaw because it was so hot and I had a lot to do to prepare for the party. I am pretty sure Karson was okay with Kipton being gone because he got to have all of daddy's attention.

Here is Kevin and I on the left and our best friends Erin & Josh

Daddy & Karson enjoying their sparklers.

(On the note of sparklers I don't think we'll be doing them anymore. Kevin got really bad burned with it and luckily we never let Karson hold it by himself. I have heard of many bad stories with just a sparkler.)

Any of you have any stories about fireworks to beware of?

I am a little late with getting my pictures up. Kevin has had some time off and we have been busy taking the boys to a few new places. Hope everyone is having a great summer!
