Can you live simple like the Amish?

I enjoy simple living.

I love being at home with my family. It's the best place in this world to me.

The Amish are known for their simple lives.

Why is it that people want to visit the Amish country?

I know. I see the simple living.

Anyone can live this way.

Stay home.

Declutter your entire house.

Start with one room at a time. You don't need a bunch of stuff. Just the basics. Your home will look more clean and neat this way.

Throw away and give to the thrift store nearby.

Have your kids to help.

They don't need all of those toys anyway.

Write out a list of what room you will do each day and make it your job that day to start and to finish all in that day. Make it a challenge.

Today I am going to purge and organize the pantry.

Ask yourself: "Do I use this each week? Is it necessary?"

Stuff in the home keeps you down. It makes your home seem impossible to keep clean.

Pray that you will become more organized and clutter free.

It takes time to change your ways, but it can be done.

It is a simple live, but its hard work. I grew up this way, course we had electric, a few places we live without indoor plumbing. I don't recommend it, LOL! In the late 60's we move to an farmhouse with indoor plumbing....thank the Lord, we never went back living without. I came by to find an email so you and I could talk through email. Please email me at simplyfarmhouse@gmail.com. Looking forward to hearing from you.

We live very simple much like the Waltons. A family of nine children, I was the 8th child. I like the early years of the Walton it reminds me a lot of my childhood. We had one set of shoes each, we had to saved our shoes for school and church only. The rest of the time we went barefooted. We churn butter by hand, drunk milk straight from a cow. When it was supper time; my mom would walk out and ring the neck of a hen , pluck and cleaned it for supper. Life was very simple and a slower pace.
