We had one set of shoes each, we had to saved our shoes for school and church only. The rest of the time we went barefooted. We churn butter by hand, drunk milk straight from a cow. When it was supper time; my mom would walk out and ring the neck of a hen , pluck and cleaned it for supper. Life was very simple and a slower pace.
