Home Tour - Part 1 (Summer)

I thought it would be fun for me to do a tour around our home for the summer. I am always changing things so this will be a good way to look back.

We have worked hard this spring and summer outside. Our boys are becoming hard workers and love to be appointed to jobs around the house.

Coming up our gravel road to the house.

We have planted more grass, planted a garden, cut down and cut up a lot of bad and dead trees, and built a playground area for our boys.

Our front porch is one of my favorite places to be. It gets the morning sun so the evenings are super cool in the summer.

My favorite swing!

Out back we have a porch where we grill dinner and eat outside. Eventually the plan is to build a large deck onto the porch to extend it.

I have finished some more flower beds outback and I love finding flat rocks in our creek to use as border. Who doesn't love free??

This is the other side of our house. A little bit of a hill but its easy to mow.

The playground area for the boys.

I had pea gravel delivered and used landscaping timbers to outline the area. It is easier to mow and weed eat.

We have had a lot of good luck this year with our garden. Lots of vegetables and we are now getting pumpkins. I was so excited to see my first pumpkin, that I made Kevin take my picture :) My dream is to have our own pumpkin farm on our property where visitors can pick their own pumpkins.

The chicken house. Kevin was in the middle of cleaning along with his helper.

Hope you've enjoyed a little tour. Come back soon for Part II where I'll post a tour of the inside.

Your home is fantastic and so very welcoming! I love the play area out front. You can sit on the porch and watch.
