Glimpses of Spring at our Home

I love Spring! After a long winter indoors, it gives me a revived love for being outdoors doing what I love most.
Planting, mowing, gardening, playing with my boys, and working outside.
It has been up and down weather here in WV. Today and the rest of this week we will have weather in the 70's and 80's. I am looking forward to it.
I planted some pansies a few weeks ago and they will last until the very hot weather comes. This year my husband got a farmer to dump a load of horse manure in our garden. I got some and put it in my pots before planting. Boy did these flowers take off! Much cheaper than buying so much Miracle Grow.
I enjoy my front porch. I hope to make some improvements to it this week.
Enjoy!

It is such a blessing to be able to celebrate our Risen Savior.

I was a busy but blessed weekend being with family and church friends.

I hope yours was blessed as well.

Garden tilling day!

My husband tilled our garden last week and we all watched like it was the most exciting day of the year.

It means spring is really here and we can be outside working in our garden.

I hope this is the best year yet! If not, we will try harder next year.

A little about me!

Welcome!!

I have tried to expand and explore a little more with blogging and thought I would share a bit about myself so any new comers can learn a bit more.

I live in West Virginia with my husband and 3 sons.

I am a stay at home mom. I love every single minute of pouring my heart to teach these boys. I do have a degree in Elementary Education and I have used it before. But for now, the Lord has me in my home serving my family.

We have been married for 10 years, and in our 4th year of marriage we built our forever home.
(Lord willing we will get to stay here :)

We live on 4 acres out in the country hills of West Virginia. We do wear shoes and even talk well, just with a little more of an accent :)

We raise about 30 chickens. Our boys sell the eggs to neighbors and use the money for summer trips and such. They have really learned a lot from raising chickens and selling eggs.

There are always new coming baby chicks out in the barn.

I love to cook and try out new recipes. I LOVE the Pioneer Woman and anything that's a good hearty dinner for these boys of mine. They are true country boys and love meat and potatoes.

I love to garden and work in my flower beds. I also love to hang clothes on the line :)

We live a very simple life. Nothing fancy, and nothing boring with 3 boys.

I love the Amish way of living.

They just fascinate me.

So you'll normally find me reading an Amish novel or the bible if you walk in on a rainy day.

Over the past few years I have become very convicted of dressing modestly. I did not grow up this way, nor was I in a church that believed this. However, in my adult life I felt from reading and studying God's word it was most pleasing to wear skirts and dresses. It has been a huge change, but a huge blessing to me.

We attend Church of Christ, and enjoy the biblical truth they provide each service.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit.

Please leave me a comment and let me know where you are from :)

Blessings,

Stacy

I have been blessed to have her as a mentor.

Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.
